Andi Davis was out for a hike on an abandoned trail in the Arizona mountains when she came across a dog very close to death. It was a pit bull, pierced with bullet wounds, and clearly left to die. She carried the 47-pound dog in her arms for more than an hour to get him down the mountainside. After having him treated by vets, Andi's family adopted the dog and named him Elijah.
