This diving dog scores a perfect “10” as she launches herself off a clifftop into the clear blue waters of St Peter’s Pool in Malta. The Jack Russell Terrier, named Titti, even performs synchronized dives with her loving owner, 49-year-old Carmelo Abela. Fans of the pooch have flocked to Marsaxlokk, a fishing village in south east Malta to see this dog in action.
Titti and her dad, Carmelo Abela, go to St. Peter’s Pool six days a week during the summer. They’re inseparable and spend every waking moment together, and especially love diving off the jagged rocks alongside each other.
Titti used to be too scared to jump off of the high cliffs, but after watching her dad do it so many times, eventually, she couldn’t help but follow him.
Titti jumps from the highest cliffs she and her dad can find, and refuses to dive anywhere but St. Peter’s Pool.
Titti always waits for her dad’s hand signal to make sure it’s safe before jumping into the water. Watching them dive gracefully into the water below, often side by side, is quite the sight.
