A young pup has been given another opportunity at life when she was given prosthetic legs, permitting her to walk. Daisy has a disability that makes her unable to use her front legs otherwise. Daisy cannot walk due to a congenital deformity of her front legs.
Daisy was an abandoned dog found by an animal control officer on the streets of Bellflower, California. A loving woman named Sheena Main adopted her and gave her a new lease on life. Ms. Main’s first attempt was to try a wheelchair to help Daisy get around, however it put excess strain on her spine so she couldn’t keep using it.
With the assistance of Animal Ortho Care, Daisy was given prosthetic legs to try. Though flimsy at first, Daisy now runs and plays on them all day, making the most of her newfound freedom! She loves playing with other dogs at the dog park and going on long walks.
