Silver Labradors are purebred Labrador Retrievers.
They are actually considered Chocolate Labradors just with a lighter silver coat due to the dilution gene in their genetic make-up. The colour Silver is actually dilute chocolate. There can also be dilute black "charcoal".
The notion that Labradors were cross bred with Weimaraners to achieve the silver coat colour is false.
