There’s no way around it — it’s tough being a dogless dog lover.

Can I pet your dog?”  Ah, a phrase the dogless dog lover is all too familiar with.  If your pup is big or small, old or young, friendly or very uninterested in me, all you want to do is touch them,  then suddenly, your day is a whole lot better.

Maybe it’s because you’re allergic or live with someone who is. Perhaps your landlord has a strict no pets policy. There’s even the possibility that despite our love of canines, you’re just not ready to be a fully committed, responsible dog parent.
