The U.S. Military Working Dog Teams National Monument, our country's newest national monument, will be formally dedicated and added to the inventory of the United States of America’s national treasures, at a special ceremony Oct. 28. The dedication ceremony is open to the public and will be held at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. Lackland is where the Department of Defense Military Working Dog Program is, and it is the world’s largest training center for military dogs and handlers as well as home to the largest veterinary hospital for military working dogs.
